Easy DIY’s that Made my hair grow like crazy!

I damaged my hair a few years back by bleaching the life out of it… needless to say I had to do the big chop, and I mean literally cut my hair into a bob! After rocking my bob for a year, I wanted my long locks back, so I experimented with a few DIY recipes. Below are the ones that actually worked for me.

No.1

Ginger

I used this about 3 times a week for a month and the growth I had was crazy! It’s a bit messy but trust me peeps, well worth your time.

Grab some fresh ginger from your grocery store. You’ll need about two 3 inch lumps. Grate these up on a cheese grater and squeeze the juice out. Then simply rub this into your scalp. Leave it on for 30 minutes minimum. The Ginger stimulates the scalp

No.2

Castor Oil

Now this is a popular one and it is for a reason. Not only does your hair feel amazing after, but it also helps your hair grow like crazy, repair split ends and stops shedding.

I have to get my Castor Oil from Amazon, I use Sky Organics Castor Oil. Rub the castor oil into your scalp and through your hair. Leave on overnight if you can, if not a minimum of an hour.

Top Tip

For silky hair, wrap your hair in clingfilm (saran wrap) and blow dry for 10 minutes. This will open up the hair follicles for the castor oil to penetrate the hair shaft.

No.3

The Inversion Method

Now this seems a little crazy, but it works. Tip your head upside down for 2-3 minutes whilst massaging your scalp. This works by stimulating the hair follicles. Do this 2 times a week. You can even experience hair growth overnight with this method.

No.4

Chelating Hair

This is something I feel we should do at least 2 times a month. Especially if you use hair products such a dry shampoo or leave in conditioner. You can chelate your hair with Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice. I use Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar. Chelation works by breaking down any build up that is on your scalp and hair. The first time I did this I could not believe how silky and silky my hair was after! If your scalp has a build up of products such as dry shampoo or even your conditioner it will reduce the speed in which your hair would naturally grow.

Simply tip the juice of a squeezed lemon over your scalp or Apple Cider Vinegar whilst you are in the shower. Work into your scalp for a minute or two, then rinse.

Let me know which of these you have tried in the comments below!
